Cancelled

Opening Day is February 29th for 2008 and Spoonbill is fast approaching. We are anticipating another jam packed schedule of events to tell you about.

Our “House” spoonbill tournaments are scheduled for Saturday April 5th and 26th. 100% of all cash collected is returned to the participants who place within 1st – 6th place.  Typically the first place fish nets the skilled angler close to $1,000.

Join us Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday the 24th as we'll have live music from the "Algoa" Boys out of Jefferson City who play classic rock and roll.

Join us May 31st for one of my favorite events, The Missouri A.C.A.T.S. will be holding their annual catfish tournament from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. http://www.missouriacats.com/Home_Page.html  Don't miss the weigh-in to see some truly huge catfish. The breakfast buffet will start at 6:00AM sharp for tournament entrants!  Book early to reserve a room with us.

June 28th we will be holding our first of two motorcycle rally’s at the “House”.  The American Bikers Relief Fund will hold a Dice Run and Duck Race at the Old Oar House.  $500 cash prize for the fastest Duck, $100 for the high hand and $50 for the low hand. See www.tabrf.org for details or call the “House”. To ensure a room be sure to book your lodging reservations early. Our “House” band w/ Mr. Tony Perkins’ “Cold Blue” will be back by popular demand singing the blues like you’ve never heard it sang before! Primitive camping is free and there is a small charge for trailer utility hook-up.

Our fireworks are tentatively scheduled for July 12th, at dark.  Arguably the greatest fire works display to ever grace the skies over Lake of the Ozarks and every year promises to be the biggest, best, and longest yet. Tie off to one of the hundred boats from the “Official Red-Neck Yacht Club” for best viewing from across the channel.

August 9th & 10th we will host the largest Channel Hop on this end of the Lake.  “Channel Hop” is just a polished name for “bar hop”, or “poker run”!  The $10 entry fee buys you one entry and a poker card to build your best poker hand by boating from bar – bar and drawing a card from the deck.    100% of the proceeds will support the local Hospice.

August 16th marks the annual “Miss Old Oar House” Beauty Pageant and start of our American Cancer Society Summer Fundraiser Crusade.  The $25 entry fee for this years’ potential Queen is donated towards the fight against a disease that has affected our family and most likely your family as well.  Special friend and fellow soldier Colonel Brian Numerick from Ft. Leonard Wood will be sitting on the judge’s panel.  If you’d like to be a judge we still have two openings.  Let Bernie know you are interested in being a judge the next time you stop by.

Join us August 23rd for Ernie & Linda's "Children's Mercy Hospital" Charity Fundraiser event for a worthy cause. All proceeds will benefit children in need. The evening will be topped off with the sounds of "County Line's" country music by John Triplet from Holden, MO. For the actual time of the event, call us at the 'House'. (660) 438-5398

Labor Day Weekend, we will host our “World Famous Hillbilly Breakfast Buffet” all weekend.  Saturday night, our “House” Band, “Cold Blue” will be playing from 8:30 – 12:30 and Sunday August 31st starting at 1:00 sharp the Annual Raft Race will commence.  Bring your water cannons and be prepared to get wet!  Following the raft race, we’ll hand out trophies and then conduct a live Auction for a great charity event; The American Cancer Society. October 18th marks our last and craziest event of the year.  Patty and Doc’s Motorcycle “Run with the Leaves” Biker rally is a hoot to put it mildly. Bring your old Mardi-Gras beads for some exciting scenery! Camping is free for primitive tents and there is a small charge for utility hook-ups for trailers.
